The non scoring Mavs are back.  Have like 2 points in five minutes.  Turned a 9 point lead into a deficit.  Can’t win like that.

They stopped running their offense through a PG.

I agree Williams hasn't looked as good tonight, but having him out there as an off-ball spacer isn't smart. That's not who he is.

Also, Gafford looks ridiculously slow and winded. Maybe his first game of the season shouldn't have happened 7,000 ft above sea level.

You can tell Flagg is gonna be nice shooter, eventually. He gets one of the softest shooter's bounces I've ever seen on his free throws.

Williams has long arms and is stronger than I realized. He's really good for his size finishing inside.

Then he hits three shots.

Mavs ahead, Williams hit a 3 to go up by 2. A game of runs, like most of 'em.

Win or lose, this has been the first entertaining half of Mavs basketball this season, and they're not even playing well yet. They're just playing actual NBA offense for a change.

Yup. Your turn, my turn. Whoever plays D wins in the end.

Man-style offensive rebound and finish there from Gafford. Good to see.

Nice hard roll from Gafford there, and a good, soft pass from Dlo.

Maybe Kidd will get wise and start DLo at the point.

Way too many turnovers in the fourth and made it way too easy for Detroit to score down the stretch. Looks right at the rim.
