A thread for trades we hope happen tonight. Please make them legitimate trades by running them through a trade machine.
My first:
AD - Martin - Hardy - OMax to Jazz
Markennan - Sexton - 21st Pick to Mavs
Works on paper and Mavs send out more than they bring back.
Any thoughts?

Olivier-Maxence Prosper to the Nets for Pick #27 seems realistic.

Agreed. Something would have to sweeten the deal.

I'm ALL for trading A.D. I think he is the sole reason the roster seems unbalanced. You remove him and everyone seems to slide into place.
But if i'm trading him i want more in return. And i dont think i'd want another big man to crowd the 4/5 position. I like Markanen, but not for this team.
Call me crazy, but if i'm trading A.D, Martin, and Hardy to the Jazz why not this package.
Collins
Sexton
Clarkson
See if you can get Taylor Hendricks thrown in there too.
Several 1st round picks
Screw it, give me Keyonte George too
All expiring after this year too. Could give you a possible way to re-set the cap.

I would trade AD but only if you could get a guard that you can plan on having around for the next decade.

I agree. I've often thought of who that Guard could be. I'd be looking for someone in the age range of like 21 to 25. Not many stud guards in that range are available.
Cade Cunningham is the guy i'd want. But thats not happening.
Ja Morant would be a huge risk. But A..D doesnt fit there with Jaren Jackson and Edey
Stephon Castle? Could be expendable if they select Harper and Fox already on board. Would need alot more though
Tyrese Maxey? Could you get him and the 3rd pick?
Darius Garland? Doesnt fit with Allen and Mobley there

A bit of an over ask and I want nothing to do with Collins. Plays for himself IMO.
One first for AD seems reasonable considering his day to day status. You might get 2, but I doubt it. Markennan can play 3-5 and is a true offensive weapon. Put him next to Klay and your defense is stretched wide constantly scrambling.
Carlson used to be good but I don’t see his career picking back up.
Don’t see them giving up George and we don’t need Hendricks with Flagg and PJ.

Honestly after looking at it. In a hypothetical trade for AD to the Jazz. I believe Markananen plus George would get me excited. Picks could be exchanged as well.

Its hard to entertain AD trades when it seems like there is no chance that happens with Nico as GM.

Exactly. I gave up on that pipe dream. Nico is not about to trade AD unless the deal is overwhelming.

If Chicago decides what Giddey is asking is too much -- it's AD in exchange for Giddey + short term contract spares and I'd even take just one first rounder from the Bulls depending on who the spares are.
Giddey isn't Luka, but he can give you a triple double on a good night.

Good ideas!
I'm thinking about dropping them as genuine on my burner account.

Does anyone believe Martin and Omax would get us Lonzo Ball?

No. They are both filler at best.

I was taking into consideration Lonzos injury history. I feel that drives his value down.

It definitely drives his price down, but I think he is still a more valuable asset then Martin. I'm pro Lonzo and would love to trade Martin for him. I would even be willing to throw in a quality second (too bad Nico gave that up in the Martin trade). In that scenario we would still need to get a tax MLE PG due to injury concerns.

This will be my last trade idea for a while
Seeing that the Mavs didn't trade back into the first round for one of the guards I liked, I'm keeping my eye on two things.
1.) One of Hardy/Omax/Martin for an early SRP to grab Duke PG Tyrese Proctor
2.) A deal for Sexton, that has Gafford outgoing...
DAL: Sexton, LAL '31 FRP
LAL: Gafford
UTAH: Hardy, Knecht, Vincent
Doing this 2 for 1 deal opens up a second roster spot to use for the rumored Kai Jones addition. You have just enough under A2 to use both the TPMLE and minimum, to carry 15 on the roster.
Sexton | Russell | Williams
Klay | Christie
Flagg | Martin
PJW | Naji | Omax
AD | Lively | Jones | Powell
Kyrie - Out
I think the top 10 in that group can win enough games while Kyrie is out. You can move Sexton or Russell at the TDL if you want to or just keep the backcourt depth, knowing Kyrie won't immediately be a 36 MPG guy when he comes back.
B-Will and Jones as your 11th and 12th guys is ideal, although I like both and think they'll make an impact next season. They'll get plenty of run with the inevitable injuries.
