Trade & FA 2024-25:
Why in the world not wait until summer to trade Luka if he was hell bent on that? This team literally has zero chance at a championship and may not even make the damn playoffs. Once he made the AD trade, he should have went all in because that's the only thing to do. Now we are in no man's land with no present or future. Sickening

It's just my opinion, but this year's trade deadline went about as poorly as possible for the Dallas Mavericks. Each move seemed focused on future financial flexibility despite the team coming off an NBA Finals appearance with a 25-year-old generational talent.

Heard same as Chris here. The Pistons have strong interest in adding Dennis Schröder to their roster ... which means a player expected to command significant interest on the buyout market will NOT be available after the trade deadline.

From what I hear, they traded for him. I saw it scrolled at the bottom of my TV. I don't know the particulars though.

I think I would legit punch the guy if I saw him. Just one punch to the nose, nothing more..lol
I just placed an order for the first Lakers merchandise I will have owned since I was 10 years old sporting a pair of purple and gold Converse high tops like Magic. Felt good and right.

So he focused on the Hail Mary and in turn, forgot about the obvious holes needed to be filled.

Very Cuban-esque

I'll root for Luka to succeed, but I'll never be able to call myself a Lakers fan, but I hope he wins the chip this year as the ultimate FU to Nico!

Potential buyout candidates with salaries above the $12.8 million mid-level:

Malcolm Brogdon
Bruce Brown
Ben Simmons
Bojan Bogdanovic

The Celtics, Nuggets, Lakers, Bucks, Wolves, Knicks, and Suns wouldn't be able to sign these players since they're above the first apron.

How much does Ben have left in the tank to be a defensive stud and secondary ball handler?  Admittedly, I've had no reason to watch a Nets game this year

He has more than what we currently got from the playmaking position!

Thank goodness Nico traded for Caleb Martin which makes sure the Mavs CANNOT sign any buyout guys

Does this mean DAL can't elevate any of the 2-way guys for the post-season?

Should be funny when Pelinka wins executive of the year or whatever it's called.

Pretty sure we can’t sign anyone because we’re capped at the first apron

Someone should've told that to Nico before sending our 25 year old generational superstar to them.

The Lakers' roster post-deadline:

Starters: Luka Dončić, Austin Reaves, Dorian Finney-Smith, LeBron James, Mark Williams

Reserves: Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, Jarred Vanderbilt, Jaxson Hayes, Shake Milton, Maxi Kleber, Markieff Morris, Christian Wood, Bronny James

LA has an open roster spot for the buyout market.

Lakers are beyond hard capped.
This new CBA sucks.

How do we have the third richest ownership group in all of sports and that's when we become cheap?
