No one is disagreeing but this is a terrible haul for an in prime top 3 player regardless of his warts. Nico needs to be investigated. They could have got so much more. How are you going to sell me AD who is much older and always hurt??

While Doncic was relatively svelte by his standards when he reported to camp, his weight ballooned to the high 260s early this season, sources said. The fact that the Mavs are leaking heavy about Lukas conditioning and commitment to stay healthy throughout the season, to give up on a generational player at 25 years old by trading him. The player *known* to hold grudges?

I wouldn't be surprised if this trade turned Luka around and got him that maturity he needed. The Mavs are betting *that* won't happen. They're also betting that AD can get healthy and stay healthy.

I actually agree with Nico on this, but I one million percent disagree on the return he got. It's just not enough and if we don't with the championship this year, this will haunt the Mavs forever and hell it probably will haunt the Mavs even if they do with the title this year. Luka will finally take his conditioning seriously now. We can bet on that. He's going to be super motivated now.

Austin Reaves would not have made this trade any better. He is just another guy who gets exposed in the playoffs. There were many other better deals to be had.
