Dante Exum is said to be on course to make his season debut tonight after missing Dallas' first 48 games following wrist surgery.

Exum is expected to play limited minutes in Detroit in his long-awaited Mavericks return.

Wow! What a shot in the arm that could be, potentially!

Jason Kidd says Dante Exum will make his season debut tonight against the Pistons. He’ll be on a 15 minute restriction.

So curious to see how Exum looks next to Klay.

C Isiah Stewart is suspended for this game after picking up his 6th flagrant foul point of this season vs Indiana.

I don´t want Dinwiddie back next season. He´s like a bad drug. Yes he´s cheap, makes you feel good occasionally, but ultimate kills you.

Might as well starting to load up the trade machine and do Kleber/Hardy trades. The fact that Kidd does not play him at all as the 3rd best 3pt shooter on the team with Luka out and opts for Kessler and Exum instead says his days in Dallas are over. Hardy is getting the Morris/Kelley treatment and there is no real justification given his play the last few weeks in limited minutes. Basically looks they are trying to protect his numbers to make him more interesting as a trade asset.

He’s just not very good.

Especially since he's back in his hometown Detroit. He probably has family there to see him.

You are entitled to your opinion. Our bench has four points and four turnovers in 34 total minutes. Over the last 10 games Hardy is shooting 44% from three. There is no justification he gets no run. My eyetest says Grimes/Hardy play better together, but I´m too lazy to check the numbers.

Unfortunately he’s a poor ball-handler, bad defender and streaky shooter, coming off injury. Kidd not playing him over the other names you mentioned seems justifiable is all.

Got Exum back and I am sure Kidd is wanting to let him play so he can get his game back. Personally I am a Hardy party animal and love to see him attack the rim but he has to open that up first with a 3 so that they try to defend him on the perimeter and then he is more open to get inside but the matchup matters especially with Detroit having some decent size at the 1 2. Sasser is 6'2 and Hardy is 6'3 so I would expect to play him on Sasser who has about 5 minutes. Kyrie is also small so if coach wants to get size out there you need to play better defense than the guy ahead of you to win minutes. Din is probably that guy ahead of Hardy and Din has size.

He´s a career 39% 3pt shooter with two seasons over 40%. If you think he´s streakly shooting over 40% from three you are correct. I´m well aware of his flaws, but he´s one of the best shooting guards the Mavs have.  Basketball is still played on two ends of the floor, but somehow it´s okay for the whole Mavs bench to be total sh*t on offense, while Grimes/Hardy still get no burn.

Cade Cunningham is a problem.

Besides Gafford blocks Mavs providing little resistance. Need to play better defense. Feels like Kyrie has been sleep walking most of the game on defense. The concern is if the Mavs go cold, they won’t be able to get stops and the game gets away. The turnovers continue to be a problem as well

I can’t believe some people on here want to trade him. He's better than Lively to me. Lively is always hurt.
