Amazing shooting, but both teams defense is really bad

13 urnovers is not a bad night, honestly. Especially at this pace.

Mavs need to chase these scrubs of the 3pt line. Much like Omax, they have absolutely no mid-range game. It´s dunk or three. Kind of understanable fans get bored, when guys don´t even try to develop into well-rounded players anymore. It´s all practice threes all day.

Kyrie has been really good this quarter, so far. Pretty huge, considering they are clearly intent on keeping Luka from beating them.

Wow! Luka with a terrible turnover, but then stones with an amazing and-1

Super huge to extend the lead with Kyrie on the bench. There will be another huge stretch coming up soon, while Kyrie plays and Luka rests, but if the Maverick still have the lead when they are both back on the floor together to close the game, it will be 1000% more difficult to double, and I think the Mavericks will have the game at that point.

Tell you literally every scrub on that team has NO Game at all outside of shooting threes. These guys like Waters, Poz, Wiggins, Kuminga. They are chefs behind the 3pt line and butchers inside the 3pt line.

Man, I just disagree with this. There have been a few lapses for both teams, but in general, I think they have played as hard as they possibly can on defense. We are just in the middle of an era during which NBA offense is outpacing NBA defense, conceptually.

I think the only way to stop games like this from happening right now is to change the rules, frankly.

To add to this: the Warriors are a top four defense in the league coming into tonight, and the Mavericks just recently fell out of the top 10. This is just the way the sport works right now. Everyone making a living playing basketball in the NBA can shoot threes, almost. It is what it is. No lead will ever be safe for any team.

Nice to have a free throw shooter up to the challenge in the clutch, for a change.

I’m happy for Thompson. I’m sure it means a lot to him to have this kind of a game in this building tonight.

Klay was the right move tonight. This is his kind of game.

ye but not the stint before Klay was still on the bench. Playing SD over Grimes for multiple mins in the 4th is just insane. In the 3rd SD sponsored GS a 9-0 run nearly by himself. Twice bad iso defense in a row and a bad TO.

8:55 Spencer Dinwiddie enters the game for Kyrie Irving
->
5:20 Kyrie Irving enters the game for Spencer Dinwiddie

Really thought Kidd was about to lose the game with SD/Gafford in. Gafford kinda redeemed himself with 2 scores. One of a Luka miss.

really dangerous to take much off one game, but some thoughts on Warriors:

1) I have always liked Kuminga and thought he just needed some time and the opportunity. His stats looked good but I didn't really feel him impact the game. Not sure he is worth the 30 plus million he will be looking for this summer. Still young and talented, but less sure now.
2) I loved Podz last year. He was always doing things and being productive. Now it looks like he is always doing something but not productive doing it. His minutes are down and I wonder if last year was the real player or if it is this year? Maybe a little bit of both. GSW were thinking of him as a core part of a deal this summer.
3) Feels like GS need a starting tier center. Tough to play their style though. I wonder if those dinosaur centers (Jonas, Vucevic) or the injured ones (Williams) would interest GS. Just like Podz Jackson-Davis has come back to earth. Looney is not a starting center at this point.
4) Draymond Green is shooting almost 40% from three. When did that happen? His form looks good too. He made some huge plays on defense in the fourth (just like last game), GSW offense just didn't take advantage of them.
