Yeah if some of those shots went down it'd make a good night into a great one.

But Omax had a great little drive and finish.

I like what I'm seeing from him.

sharp is a far way away, but he moves much better than a guy that size range typically moves. He is worth keeping on the G league to see if he takes to pro coaching. Still surprised he was not really a factor in college outside of being an elite shot blocker. It looks like he has gotten better settings picks from summer league in my quick viewing.

Good to have basketball back. I only saw mainly the fourth. Mavs really don’t have any wasted players at their camp. Should be some good competition.

Sucks Exum got hurt earlier. Any word on his injury? I wa s really interested in how him and Din would have competed for these minutes.

If you catch my drift. Just read the capital letters and have a good adblocker.

Oh...I managed to find an adequate venue...and I do have a good, premium adblocker.  I just drifted right along...

Gortman had one summer league game where he played more minutes and now this with more NBA talent around him. Mavs need to keep him, i think he could play some minutes right away.

Didn't the Mavs sign Kessler Edwards to a two-way contract earlier?

They did. Currently they have 2 2-way contracts signed; Brandon Williams and Kessler Edwards. They have 1 more they can dole out.

They can also waive either/both Williams+Edwards and sign someone else to that spot at any moment.

Thanks. Was wondering why he didn't play in this game.

Edwards has an ankle sprain. Severity unknown.

No clue why Williams didn't play but I wasn't complaining. Gortman showed out.

Hardy had 8 assists, but I felt like Gortman was the better PG for the Mavs this game.

If Gortman plays the same in the next 2 pre-season games, I hope he makes the team.

Underselling the kid’s performance. He had the best game of anyone not named Lively. If he has 2 more games like last night, you start thinking about whether he’ll make the all-star team. 19/3/3 with 4 steals while shooting 4/7 from deep. That’s a Kyrie-level contribution.
Pessimism doesn’t make you smart, just pessimistic.

As exciting as that full court dribble score play was yesterday and as tantalizing thinking him as a three point shooter, this move is the one we should probably be most excited about.    If he can punish smaller defenders with these touch shots, I think he becomes more scary to teams than a guy who can stretch the floor...especially at this stage of his career.

Exactly how I see it - I enjoy Wemby chucking threes, because he doesn’t kill and dominate you by doing that.
