Vuc with monster numbers and a good game. But is it wrong saying I would take our guy 10 times out of 10?

Mavs now the only undefeated team in the West!

Man, Derek Lively, Mavs nailed that pick. And the dude is 19, crazy..

Love me some Luka but this win feels better than the first three. Overcoming a terrible game from Luka with great performances from so many different guys. THJ, Williams and DJJ coming up big. Lively beasting on the boards. Hardy and Green with clutch shots to close out the game.

This team has a nose for the finish line.

Yes. What’s the difference? Luka in better shape? Grant Williams timely shooting? THJ on the bench? All the above? Some of it may be Lively in the middle, but he’s been on the pine some too. What else?

Great game. Chicago was extremely aggresive on Luka whole game while also packing the paint and rotating to the three point line. But, the other Mavs delivered. Stopped DeRozan through whole game and shut down LaVine in the second half. Vucevic the only one that was giving them problems.

DJJ with another great game. THJ was excellent, didn't take (too) many bad shots. GW couldn't miss from three and great defense. Hardy with some key baskets in the fourth. Lively with 7 offensive rebounds and great passing the ball, a couple of rookie mistakes but this is part of growing up. Luka was frustrated a bit due to the beating he was receiving, but I think he played smart. The only downside in this one was Mavs played Luka over 40 minutes again, which screams problems for second half of the season.

Around the league: Toronto whooped Milwaukee, Denver with first loss and Houston with first win. Boston scored 155 points against Indy in a 51 point win. Memphis will lose another game, this time against Utah.

THJ and DJJ both been good last two games. we're a better team than last season which is great to see. hard to believe we won it with Kyrie out and luka underperforming.

Kidd is a better coach than last year.

Also, Nico is a better GM.

And Cuban is a better owner.

I know it’s been said so many times already but Hardy just has “It.” He’s going to make mistakes, and the D is a work in progress, but he is so great at making space for himself with his dribble and he always steps into his catch and shoot 3’s. They need to find a way to get him consistent minutes which will be tough when Kyrie is back. Exum has been good too. Maxi out should mean more of DJJ at the 4.

Really happy that Kidd rolled with the kids down the stretch. And they delivered! I felt like a proud papa watching it unfold.

Kidd really deserves some credit for that decision.  Hardy down the stretch over THJ and DJJ?  It actually makes sense when you think about how they just kept doubling and beating up Luka the entire night.  Kidd needed another player who could create their own shot.  Hardy wasn’t perfect, but did some smart things.  It was encouraging.

The Rook with 33 minutes?  What.  So that’s what an Offensive Rebound looks like.

Josh is not playing with the same joy as years past.  Contract stuff?  Starting stuff?  Other stuff?

It's pretty crazy how good Lively already is at passing and its not just in short rolls. He showed it some in college and in SL and it has easily translated to real games. High IQ player, much more than just a basic lob threat. Really refreshing to see.
