I see USA is playing with fire again. This is far from star packed teams from previous competitions. Still extremely good team, of course.

France team is also underwhelming. Don't know if Canada announced its team but I doubt they will go full team either.
USA is as good as anyone tbh.
PS: Egypt is playing this time, just hope we avoid embarrassment lol

I think in US culture no one cares about the World Cup. It's not looked at like the Soccer World Cup.
The big boys will show up for the Olympics.

I agree. It actually goes for most big countries in basketball. There are just too many national competitions and the guys prefer to really gather for Olympics.
I just noticed, there is really no super star on this team. But yeah, checking 2019 squad, it was a similar situation.

Who is missing from the younger players? Tatum, Brown, Mitchell, Morant (LOL). I think that´s a pretty strong team on the Under 30 squad. I´m not sure how many of the older players want to play the Olympics either.
Many of the top players in the league these days are foreigners.
Doncic, Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, Siakam, Markkanen, Sabonis, SGA, Murray, Wiggins all not eligible.
Canada with Murray, SGA, Wiggins, Barrett and Powell might put up a fight in the Olympics.
