Turner/McGee/Whiteside Forgot Green and Theo, so you're 1 roster spot over.
But as to the trade I'd LOVE McConnell. Turner would be interesting as well but I don't think the Mavs are interested having signed McGee and traded for Wood.
They'd probably be more interested in Buddy tbh.

Yeah then forget the 3rd emergency C. That might happen later in the season via trade anyway (Bamba/Favors?).
I think the whole McGee/Wood leaks are just the Mavs posturing. There is no way that crap makes any sense. You put in Turner (and McConnell) and this roster makes a lot more sense. Mavs just didn´t plan for this whole earth is flat and I´m a p**** stuff coming out of New York. That basically derailed everything.
Whether it´s good enough to compete for a title is doubtful, but at least this makes a lot of sense. Dinwiddie retains the 6th man role and the starting five is HUGE, but mobile with five shooters.

My first thought is how many centers do we need?
My second thought is a Turner/Wood/Maxi big rotation would be awesome.
My third thought is there is no way Timmy plus Powell is enough to get that done.
My fourth thought is I like your sig.

I guess he is searching for new trade partners. Nets might have learned their lesson.

I think Heat offer really isn't good. I think Herro is just a glorified Clarkson, while Miami paints him as a next coming of Jordan. Other than Hero, they have role players and just two picks. Utah can certainly get better offers

As to whether or not that roster is good enough to compete, the Mavs theoretically added 2 15+ppg scorers, fixed the big man rotation through and through, and added back THJ who theoretically can score in bunches. All the while preserving the secondary creator off the bench who can defend as well.
I absolutely think that's a contender that plays to Luka's strengths. You've made me talk myself into that deal and I want it badly.

Though I guess they might be willing to do Powell + Bertans as long as you send one or two 1st round picks with it.

7 picks.
Probably works out to:
5 picks for Mitchell
2 picks to get off of Randle

really doubt the Jazz have any interest in Randle. Four years left on his contract and was not good last year. Plus, he is an odd fit for most teams. Best served to be a number one option, but not good enough to be a number one on a good team. He will cost picks to move. Fournier too, but he is a easier fit with teams.
The non KNicks first round picks are all protected, so they are not extremely valuable. I think they look for a combination of those picks and 2-3(or all 3) of their youngsters. Maybe then Fournier can be added for salary matching. But he will not be deemed as an asset to Utah.

Do you think the Mavs would need to attach picks to move THJ?

I don't think so. You could find a similar priced player I believe. Or maybe two who add up to THJ.
I think if they were looking to move him for space though, they would probably need to throw something in. Especially coming off injury.
I believe the Knicks were trying to find takers for Fournier after the draft. And considering he is still there, makes me think they could not get off of him and his salary without surrendering something.

Was just thinking about it because value wise they are probably in the same range. Personally I actually prefer Fournier because he is a better playmaker. If Fournier is a negative asset I am not as positive when it comes to THJ´s potential trade value.

To me, it's a matter of who your trade partner is. If we're talking Utah, who'd be tanking, then they're going to look at either Hardaway or Fournier as nothing more than salary they have to take on.
If you're dealing with a contender who thinks they need an off-ball shooter, they might be willing to give you a pick for either of them in the right deal, if they think he's their guy.

My knee-jerk reaction was "No! Timmy's a much better player!"
But then I started looking at stats, and dangit, they're super-similar.
