7 footer with an ever improving shooting stroke and some shot blocking potential.

Mavs have archetypes for players they want to target and I love it.  This guy may never touch an NBA court but it’s clear the scouting department, FO and coaching staff are on the same page.  That’s a big improvement from the previous dysfunction.

Interesting.  Looking forward to get a look at him.   It looks like he has bounced around a bit.   Just a great athlete & not a basketball player?

At his age and point in his career, he should find a spot who will take time in his development and allow him to stick in one place for a bit.   Even if it is not a two way slot.   Stability and time would do good for him.  Lets see how he does in summer league to see if there is even a desire to invest in him even if it is not a two way slot.

I believe Eugene is not going to be back with us.    I am old, but I do look at Instagram.  I noticed he is not following the Mavs any longer just recently.   He was also in Miami the past few days.   Maybe vacation.  Or maybe he winds up on Miami's summer league team?

I am sort of surprised we cut bait with him and at least didn't give him another look.  I thought he warranted another look.   Just really bad timing for his injury.  He got hurt right when all the G-league covid call ups happened.

I would have preferred Trevion Williams.  But he is probably holding out for a two way.   He has severe questions on defense but he has things to his game that are clearly NBA level.

Bingham is an interesting guy.   I mentioned in another thread, I am surprised he never really popped more.   I think he is probably a more interesting prospect than EJ Onu and Freddie Gillepsie from previous signings for that spot.  But he is probably unlikely to make an NBA roster.   Interested in taking a look at him though.

I mentioned this in the game thread, but watch these highlights.   Does this look like a guy who averaged 9 points a game as a senior.  As a junior he averaged 4 points a game.

It looks like he only played 18 minutes a game.   I wonder why he didn't get more playing time.

from wikipedia it looks like he picked up basketball late.

Probably a guy who is never a serious roster candidate, but I ma interested in seeing him

Bingham was 6' 2" as a freshman in college and is now a legit 7' 0". He grew 10" in college, an incredibly late bloomer physically.
