Last time the Mavs won a playoff game in Phoenix was June 3rd, 2006. Last time the Mavs won in Phoenix at all was November 29, 2019. Both of those could use some updating. Must win game.

Back in Phoenix, I expect the Suns to dominate again. Ayton scores 30+. Paul and Booker do their usual. The Phoenix bench plays better. Luka might score 40+ but it won’t matter. The Mavericks’ season will end on Thursday. Suns in 6!

Whoever wins this, wins the series.  If we win tonight, we take their heart.

So hard to guess. Does Chris Paul return to most-favored-whistle status? Do Mavs keep making it rain from 3? Will Cam Payne make his first appearance in the series? Will Luka enter transcendent mode?

I have no clue. But I’m not believing those who say this game decides the series. This Mavs team could win a game 7 on the road. And it could also win tonight and still cough up the next 2.

Biggest questions tonight:

-Can CP3 get back on track?
-Can we get a big game from all of our ball handlers?
-Why does Kamm hate Dorian so much?

Powell's face!

Powell 2 fouls already...you would have hoped he could stay on the floor a little longer with the Mavs offense looking good. It's all about buying minutes for Kleber

Both fouls were incredibly stupid too.

Got to keep Bridges working on defense.  Don't really love that last shot by JB.

So far doesn’t appear the refs are going to over officiate this thing despite Booker’s constant flailing.  Will see if that holds.

Interesting Suns adjustment to go with Biyombo and also more of Crowder on Luka early.  Guessing that’s about trying to unlock Bridges’ offense. Crowder also has a Draymond type mentality and is a dog.  Defending Luka takes a toll though on whoever it is.

I'm not sure Byombo over McGee is the right answer but whatever.

Good job, Spencer.

Luka is forcing quite a bit still.

Hoping Luka gets all the yips out of the way in the first half.

Luka looks a little tired.  Wish he'd just give the ball to JB or Spencer when he decides it's time to jack up the step back against one of the Suns centers.
