Simba finding a way to stick in the league. Also kind of confirms that RC wanted Simba badly all along that draft.

There is no doubt that RC had quite a bit of say and power in drafting and other front office decisions during his time in DAL. But there is not doubt he was also ignored at times as well.
I really think the Mavs front office was so dysfunctional because you had competing visions of team building and ideal players, etc. If Nico can unite the direction of the front office then he will be successful in the long run.

The more I think about it Indiana is a perfect spot for Rick. He will get more blue collar type players that he likes and be able to run things on the floor more. Most superstars have trouble with someone so hands on like that.
Find me at Lakersball.com. I'm done with the Nico and the Mavs.

Simba was the same alma mater as Carlisle. This is no surprise, I'm pretty sure this is the reason we picked him in the first place.

Justin Anderson stepped up to Carlisle's defense when that yawn-fest ESPN article came out a few months ago. Looks like he's getting rewarded, way to play the game JA!

There is a Josh Green joke here somewhere. 52 points in his last 8 games.

Josh Green will be ok, he's just not as good as Bey at this point, and that's alright.

Agreed. They finally got Hunter back and were poised to continue their success after their ECF run. The thing is I don't really even get why they're playing so mediocre. I haven't watched many ATL games, nor really followed any narratives.
Totally confused why they're playing so badly.

#2 offensive rating, which is really good. #27 defensive rating, which is really bad. Both of those cancel out and leave them with 15th overall rating. Trae Young plays a big role in both of those, of course, but they also have other bad defenders like Huerter, Bogdan, and Gallinari playing major minutes. Probably also a little too much believing of their own hype after making the conference finals last year.

There is talk that Capela is having an off year defensively too. If he is at all getable I would jump on that. Anyone not named Luka, DFS, Brunson, Din plus our first. I feel like a closing lineup of Capela/DFS/Luka/Din/Brunson is contender worthy.

If I'm understanding the Play In tournament correctly then the Nets would prefer the 8th seed. That way they are the road team against the 7th seed (so Irving will be eligible to play)
If they aren't the 8th seed then they would want the 10th seed (again so Irving could play) but then they would need to win twice on the road

"Personal Reasons" is quite the thing this year.

Holmes has had a rough year. I don't think it's indicative of who he'll be next year. Its unfortunate for him but a silver lining is his poor play might make him be cheap enough for the Mavs to capitalize.

RH has played his last game in SAC. Will be shocked if that is not true.
