I would do Curry or Kleber+#18+whatever for some of their contracts and #10 immediately, but I am affraid Phoenix is looking for a much better player. I don't think I would trade DFS.

interesting

I'd trade DFS before both Curry and Maxi.

That's absolutely nuts. They are fairly-paid non-NBA starters with solid, useful skillsets. DFS is a legitimate young veteran starter paid like a rookie picked in the late first (i.e. he is essentially being ripped off on his current contract). He is far, far more valuable than those two. They each have a bigger "oo, shiny" factor. He has as much value as those two put together, IMHO.

They wouldnt admit they're looking at small forwards if they thought DFS was a legit starter.  He's a nice bench player.  I think Maxi is more valuable.

Hold on...so is this tampering business creating a situation wherein the Mavs could potentially draft a player for OKC at 18 tonight (sign and trade for Gallo) and we wouldn't find out about it until FRIDAY????

Is that correct?

We need more wings even with DFS on the roster. Need more wings, not same amount.

Dan says we wouldn't draft for them without a deal agreed upon. Does that help?

Or they think DFS is ourstarting PF (which I don't recommend nor agree). Both are excellent 20mpg bench players.

Without Maxi,  who plays the 4 and the 5?  KP is gonna be out a while.  Powell will be limited.  Maxi is literally our best 4 and best 5 right now.

We need better wings.  Not saying I want to trade DFS but if we're trading for a wing, I'd rather trade him than Maxi.

I do have an irrational man love for Maxi so maybe that's clouding my judgement.  But look at their contracts.  Maxi was viewed as a more desirable player.

Clearly, but I'm worried that we're going to be sitting here for two days thinking the Mavs drafted Poku...when he's really going to OKC.

Rumor has it that Silver hired a firing squad, bought blind folds, and a carton of cigs...he is daring them to screw up...
Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

Does the actual draft start at 7.30 EST? I seem to remember from last year, that I was surprised they went straight to the clock. As usual I assumed unnecessary endless pre-coverage dragging until 8PM EST. Anyone know for sure?
