DRAFT: #18 [Green] & #31 [Terry] & trade for #36 [Tyler Bey]

HIs not afraid to defend up close on the perimeter and one of the best at closeouts. His still raw on the creating his shot but the potential is there.

Mavs got a player that matches their identity, hot 3 point shooter, good floater finish and a need in length and defense.

Ok thats interesting. I didn't know that. The more I hear about Green the more I like. But still. BEY WAS RIGHT THERE!

Our pick isn't Poku. Mavs won the night.

This is the post of the night...

Thanks for the positive outlook.  Sometimes we all need a little reassurance that the sky isn't really falling.

So I don't like the pick with what's on the board....

But I will say that he does have great shooting form. If they tweak his shot he could be a lethal 3 and d guy.

He clearly emulates Klay. Lower the quality on a YouTube highlight video and you can't tell if it's Klay playing or Green.

Of course that's just highlights.

If Bane somehow slides to #31, Donnie might have just pulled two rabbits out of his ass tonight. Two 3/D wings in the same draft, I thought I'd never see the day!

Still lots of exciting guys at #31, so Flynn or Mannion.

Ok. Fine. I was gonna give it a day. But the more I watch and read about him, Green isn't bad. Donnie is smart.

I'll trust.

But Bey was right there....

Wait until the board finds out Green was former teammate of Dwight Powell.

I’m biased, but hoping Bane falls to 31 as well

My favorite players left - Terry, Hampton, Tiger, Bane, Reed, Woodard, Maledon, Balmaro, Ramsay, Alexander, Tillman.

Are you saying we traded Powell away. Big Grin

I actually had the feeling Green was the pick weeks ago, because I didn't expect Saddiq to be there.  Then I warmed myself up to the idea of Tyrell Terry.  But Green was top 3 in my prediction in the other thread IIRC.

His 3 point shot defintely has the Klay hop. Seeing the Brad tweet interview, the guy has swagger, confidence. Need alpha dogs on this team.

For  #31  Please

T.Bey (he would make you forget about S.Bey)
Woodard

If you are cool with Dwight, you are cool with me.  Dude it a world class human and works his ass off.

I don't like that Rick is doing interviews when there are opportunities to move that #31 up to get a guy we like...

I am a fan of Green and who I wanted. Strong athlete and someone who can contribute defensively right away. Also a different type of wing athlete to DFS. Bey was my second option, but more redundant to DFS and his lack of athleticism concerned me.

He was also a very good off the ball scorer for Arizona. Worked as their third option behind Mannion.

Good shooting mechanics but needs to get stronger in his lower body and more consistent mechanically.

Lots to like here...

I don't think he falls to 31... But if Mavs were to get Hampton somehow i'd be quite happy with both guys.
