Great win and fun game. I was interested in seeing how the starters looked when we had a scorer (Hardaway) starting in place of DFS. I don't particularly want Hardaway starting as I think a hired gun off the bench is his best role. Hardaway got off to a slow start, but got hot in the second quarter. I believe this offense looks much more potent when 2 of the starters outside of KP, can score between 14 and 18 points.
KP defense is much better and he is moving better. His offense was a little shaky, but I like to see him trying to fight position inside. I would like to see a few more free throw opportunities. I believe before this game he hadn't shot one in two games. I still would like to see more touches by him, but he found a way to be productive when his offensive game was not great. One negative though is he took a long three at the end of the game. I believe it was relatively early in the shot clock. Is that the best shot when we are looking to put the game away.
As great as Luka is, we really can't expect that type of performance every playoff game (and last night felt like a playoff game). Clippers have more options to throw at you in a playoff series. We really have to hope for a super human effort by Luka in the playoffs. That is not the best recipe for a long playoff run imo.
