Mavericks hire Dusty May as next Head Coach

The Mavericks and Masai Ujiri initially broached and pursued pretty hard new asst. coach Garrett Temple for a role within the team’s front office before Dusty May convinced Temple to join him on the coaching staff according to our guy Stein

I've noticed a trend of the Mavs getting basically everyone they want so far when it comes to front office/coaching staff hires. For example, both Green and Broylan had good offers from other teams and them choosing Dallas was news of note in those other cities. I think when it comes to these assistant types you can probably give some of the credit to May and some to Unir/Schmitz, too, but I kind of think this is also an indication that the Mavs' ownership group is out there outspending teams for these guys. 

I'm pretty thrilled by that.
