I agree with rest of your comment, so I will focus on this. I also agree Mavs looked great with Luka shooting less early, but still this came against a team that was playing badly. It was visible Luka was making an effort to share the ball more. But, this might not be the general plan. Might be, the general plan actually is for Luka to dominate in the first half with Kyrie taking over in the second. Thing that worked great in the best stretch of last season. It was also mentioned, I think by Luka, in this season. 

Something to observe going forward, because it might not be just Luka wanting to play a certain way but a general plan. Will he continue to make an effort to change the offense or is this just something to have fun against a bad team. I would understand the idea. Luka is one of best one on one players in the league and if opponent doesn't double, he should score efficiently. If they double, he finds an open man. With guys like Klay around him, it is a much more difficult decision for the opponents to double Luka. Of course so far this season, Luka mostly hasn't been an efficient scorer. But, we have 5 seasons of data to believe things will get back to "normal" sooner than later.
