I just think there might be a little more involved between the ears with understanding what to do in those situations than maybe Wood has caught up to yet. But, to be fair, we haven't had a chance to see him in that situation, so far.

Still, we have seen an unreal amount of unforced errors from Wood in less "pressured" situations. I don't know how many of those silly "start moving with your pivot foot on the drive" traveling calls we're going to have to watch before he learns, for example. I think we're at 4-5 already.

I'm just saying...maybe there's some teaching going on in practice, and maybe the coaches are just as excited  as we are to get him out there more. Maybe they're even just as disappointed as we are that it hasn't happened more quickly.

I agree that the unforced errors are becoming way to common place, specifically those travels (pretty sure he's had at least one in 4 straight games he's played in) but I would say that he has a very good understanding of how to attack those 4 on 3 situations and he's spoken to it pretty eloquently in previous interviews (that I'd have to dig up but there were definitely excerpts on either Cato's or Locked On's podcast).  The first two games of the season had a lot of examples of Wood making great reads in those situations and we just haven't seen him in that spot a lot sense because defenses are now switching for the most part on that PnR.

To Dan's point about the -15 as a solo big last night, I also tend to think that was way more of us just being bad on offense and not so much his defense.  We were not great on either side across the entire lineup during that stretch to be honest.  Wood/Maxi pairing is still the best way to use him but you simply can't ignore how powerful that PnR is with Luka and need to explore all your combos with him as a solo big to find our what works so you can maximize Luka and Wood's time together on the floor.
