The fact is that we have three and half comparatively solid players: KP - when not injured, Luka - when not overweight, injured or looking to aggravate refs, Brunson and half of THJ - the other half is terrible. All the other players are like yo yo - good, bad,bad, good, good, good, bad, good, bad, bad etc ad nauseam. We are in the situation, where the magic cures for us simply does not exist. I think that we will be again a marginal playoff team, lasting one round. I am not looking for the guilty ones for this situation, as it is, what it is.

This was a reasonably entertaining game, at least up until the second half of the fourth quarter, with the Mavs earning only 4 points on 2 made baskets in the last six minutes. Going in to the contest, I really thought this was a game we could win, and I found it frustrating and a little bewildering to see them fall apart in just the same way they usually do. I sometimes feel like these game analyses are just the same song, umpteenth verse, over and over and over.
If not for Luka and KP I would say we tank. But this situation forces us are neither to paradise or to hell, but to the purgatory of eternal mediocricity.How long will our stars watch their best years trickle away into nothingness?
