Doesn´t really matter who is at fault. It´s always easy to blame the one without the ball. More important to find ways to fix this. Even in his " bad" position KP could turn around and set another screen for Luka. Take out the defender at the rim and create a layup. It´s a grey area but bigs like Adams or Valanciunas do it all the time. Basically and extension of the pick and roll. They set the initial screen. Roll to the rim and box in the help defender that could prevent the easy layup.



1:48, 3:40, 3:59, 4:09. No help defense / rim protection because Adams takes them out of the play.

I agree with you if you are suggesting that KP should create a wall/screen in the paint for Luka to dribble past and pic off defender/s.  I dont know if I have seen KP do that much.

I see so many other teams do this but Mavs dont.  I think I have seen Powell do it a few times...but we dont seem to do it regularly like other teams.   Seems like I see it pretty often.  Anyway...maybe its something that KP can add to his paint game.
