I did a ton of legwork and video watching on the draft last year. None this year. No pick, and little indication we want one. This is a new era though, so we'll see how Nico's thought process differs... Would be kind of sad to have a flawed coach whose best attribute is the development of young players and then have him not have a rookie to work with.

Thoughts on Trey Murphy out of Virginia? Sorry if he has been mentioned on here already.
6'9 and shoots the 3 well. I liked his defense in the youtube video I saw.
I looked at a quick 1st round mock from CBS and he wasnt in 1st round. Havent done much research, though.

First they have to sign Bey and Hinton. Both are RFA.

Am I the only one that doesn't think Cade is a slam dunk as everyone is making him out to be?
They're calling him the next Luka. I didn't see anything that eye popping from him in college.
If I'm Detroit and the Cavs called me and offered nearly 4 FRP to move down 2 slots I'd take that deal easily.

If I'm Detroit and the Cavs called me and offered nearly 4 FRP to move down 2 slots I'd take that deal easily. Me too. If this is at the top a 6 player draft as someone said earlier, I take those odds with another shot at a high contributor (or hitting BIG) and a future 1st (or 2) from CLE? In all honesty, I might do #3 and 2 future 1sts from CLE. No 14 necessary.
Now, mind you, there was a guy that just wrote an article that said KP and a pick swap for Walker was a good deal sooooooo...

The coalition on Mavs internet that's set on trading KP for anything surprises me everyday. I see things on Reddit that personally makes me cringe.
Just saw a "KP for Knox+Nitlinka+ our 2023 first back" for KP on reddit and I facepalmed. Sadly I think some might actually entertain the idea.

Wow, was shocked at how good he looked for not really being on anyone's radar. Dude has a TON of natural basketball feel and instinct, that much is clear.

It seems as if Vrenz is definitely on Dallas's radar this upcoming draft...

Well on the bright side Pelicans have four 2nd round picks, three early, so if the Mavs bother to work him out, they have to do so, understanding that they´d have to obtain a 2nd round pick to get him. He won´t go undrafted. Cuban is either gonna have a heart attack or Harrison will beat Rosas record of three months on the job by two months.
I can already see the discussion.
Nico: Mark we like to obtain a 2nd round pick to make a selection.
Mark: I´m listening.
Nico: His name is Vrenz Bleijenbergh.
Mark: Okay. Okay. Okay. What is he?
Nico: What you mean? He´s a basketball player.
Mark: Yeah. Yeah. Indian? Chinese? Though it sounds Dutch. Japanese-Surniamese. Little Naomi Osaka. I can see it. Panasonic, Konami, Heineken. Oh yeah.
Nico: No he´s just white.
Mark: Military?
Nico: He´s Belgian. What war would he fight in?
Mark: I don´t know war on weed?
Nico: That´s the Netherlands. He is just a basketball player.
Mark: Please tell me he´s at least transsexual. Or is it she?
Nico: I honestly don´t know. We just want her... damn Mark we just want him to play basketball, cause we think he´ll be awesome.
Mark: Well you don´t know, so I don´t spend money on a 2nd round pick, if you don´t do your homework. Sssssh.

Ok, I have seen enough. I have no idea how he stacks up with the rest of the talent in this draft, but I want Vrenz. His BBIQ and instincts are off the chart, he is tall and long and moves like a wing/guard, he has a promising shooting stroke, and he plays D.
Nico, please draft Vrenz Bleijenbergh. Thanks.

Well the Pelicans have the 35th, 40th and 43rd pick. Bleijenbergh seems nailed on for one of their picks as an overseas stash. Depending on how much they rate him, you´d probably have to target the Knicks/Thunder at #32 and #34. Since the Thunder have three and the Knicks two first round picks already, it shouldn´t be that hard to buy one of their picks.
Though of those in a realistic range, I still want Jaden Springer the most. Maybe the Knicks would be interested in #19 + #32 + Knox for Brunson + Kleber.
You draft Springer as the Brunson replacement and Bleijenbergh as the Kleber replacement.
That for example would be a trade I could see a GM want to do (because he believes the draft selection X or fallen angel Y has huge potential), but Cuban rejects it cause it would likely weaken the team for next season.
Such a trade should 100% be the decision of the GM, but I somewhat doubt it would and will be.

This trade proposal should get a GM fired the moment he asks.

Maybe it´s just the reporting, but it seems we work out more players without a pick this year than we did last year, when we had #18 and #31.

I think it's a difference of what's being heard. "Look at how hard I'm working..." Style-contrast. I think, back in the day, the Nelson's were in Dirk's living room with their feet up, but we didn't hear a lot about it. Same deal with Luka.
