Yes, and I'm thrilled with that, but he's not going to be playing PG anytime soon.
Search your feelings, Luke. You know it to be true.
Sooner than you think. Burke off the scrap heat was more impressive than anything we've seen from Brunson. Plus he only has a year left on his deal, time to cash in the asset.

Regarding Tyrell Terry.......no relation........apparently he recorded the highest score ever on his basketball IQ test run by a team. Rick is a demanding coach. Only certain type of players can work here. The high work ethic and IQ players are exactly who we need

With the wingspan of a Ty-Rex (I just nicknamed you son) you obviously need to have a work ethic and basketball IQ.
Dwight Howard wouldn´t be in the NBA, if he was 6´0.

#31 allowed us to trade Curry and his IQ will allow us to trade another player on the team who was lauded for his high basketball IQ and only fell to the second round because of his lack of measurables and athleticism.

Not saying he’s steve nash but it’s obviously a pattern of us taking players who are more professional than the average player. It’s part of the secret sauce
Our guy was Haliburton and 18 plus 31 wasn’t enough. We are still happy though

Burke was great but man ppl are forgetting how solid Brunson was. He got injured and so its out of sight out of mind I guess but man he's been solid from day 1.
Wright - gone
Jackson - please be gone
WCS - not sure yet
JJB - hopefully will coach not waste a roster spot

I didn't forget. I like guys who maximize their potential and Jalen fits that description. He'll just always be limited by his stature and athleticism and I think he's hit his ceiling a darned close. Also think that Brunson's ceiling is Tyrell's floor and he has the potential to be something special offensively.

And Brunson no longer being in the locker room eats away at the chemistry we developed last year. I don’t think we trade him. Luka/Brunson/Green/Terry is a really talented group of guards to build with

I get that it's easy to think he's limited, I really do. And, while I tend to trust the Mavs when they say they don't see him as a limited prospect, you could be correct.
But, if so, just extend him on a REASONABLE deal, imo. If his ceiling is super smart, good culture back up PG, there's absolutely nothing wrong with getting that spot locked in. UNLESS you have to overpay for it. If you don't build one you're very likely to have to overpay someone else's limited prospect to fill that role down the road.
Maybe Terry grows from off ball shooter into someone who CAN threaten Brunson's job, eventually, but there's noooooooo way they come out of the gates with that goal on the kid's plate. Backup PG is way too important. If anything, I can see them punting on Brunson for someone with MORE experience, but definitely not someone with less.

Could GSW trade for Oubre and then trade him for Hardaway?
Hardaway seems like a better replacement for Klay’s role.

There is nothing wrong with Brunson. He's smart, tough, solid and works his butt off. I do have a little bit of a problem with his attitude on the court, it just feels like misplaced confidence sometimes but maybe that's what has made him successful to date. And while there is nothing wrong with Brunson, there isn't a lot of upside to him. You are gong to have growing pains with any guard but for them to develop, they need the ball. The proverbial progress stopper. If Burnson can be used for an asset to this free agency for another starter, pull that trigger.

Feels like they've suckered someone into trading for Wiggins.

Hayward declines option. What would be required, years & money, to do a S&T?

I believe that he can be used for that purpose, but that he won't. Guess we'll find out.

Hayward opted out thank goodness. No trade here. Hopefully he eats up Knicks or Hawks space
Horford and Oubre straight up for Wiggins?
