Dear Hawks, we gave you Trae and an additional second rounder for your pick. Now please save us from ourselves. Signed, Mavs.

Depends on what you mean by "really big" or "gigantic"...no use in speculating, really.

Just please trust me. He'd be REALLY GOOD here.

Hayward is not cooperating with the Hawks...Celtics are holding out for a Hail Mary offer that Hayward would agree with...that narrows it down to a couple teams....
Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

Boston fans don´t seem to have Mavs on the radar at all. They are thinking Atlanta or that Indiana is the most likely S&T candidate, since Hayward is from there and just bought a new house in the area. For some reason they also have the Warriors involved with the #2 pick.

The most out there rumours believe the owner wants Harden bad and that Ainge is scrambling to acquire assets for Hayward (and possibly Kemba) to package them with Brown+Smart. Rolleyes

Hawks are being used. Hayward would not extend his opt in deadline if he was happy to sign with the Hawks. They are his backup plan and leverage on the Celts to land him a spot on a better team.

Well, Supes says it's still 100% ATL, and that they're helping Boston create a huge TPE, for some reason.

I guess we'll find out soon.

Supes (Hawks insider)

Quote:Atlanta is not giving up anything but space (TPE) but my question is how is it possible for a SnT as Boston cap situation?

Quote:Atlanta is actually getting value back in this case. They don't have to help Boston but for some dumbass reason, we are.

Supes, if he has a real contact at all, has ONE contact INSIDE the Hawks....it will be only the Hawks perspective, no way he knows if they are being used or not.

Hayward could also wind up on the Pacers and make Dipo even more expendable than he already was.

Dipo to the Mavs is still very much a possibility.

Oh, for sure. That's what I was trying to say weeks ago.

I think he's getting legit info from a guy, but that it's all focused through a Hawks colored lens, and then probably even trumped up a bit more in translation.

But a lot of the info has come in handy.

The Hawks, TPE angle makes sense though. Ainge has way too many picks. Could easily toss a pick to the Hawks for a S&T to give him a giant trade exception.

Which he would use for? Take Harden in cap space?

TBD. Maybe nothing but it's great to have. Ainge literally has too many picks. They can't be drafting 3 rookies in the first round.

But unless He wants to to go there why would Gordon help them?

He court sign as a FA and not worry about any of this.

I think you can see the difference between DOING a favour to Dallas by taking Wright contract and RECEIVING a favour in form of TPE. Hawks CAN sign Hayward without Boston, Mavs CAN'T.

Because the Hawks asked him to since they will get compensation for doing so from the Celts.
