I still think it's a possibility Barea is a player coach. If someone tells him he's going to get more playing time with them tho, he'll be gone. I doubt it tho.

The biggest problem I see is that #31 pick. The two-way contracts, aka the 16th and 17th roster spot, will likely be available as full roster members under the special COVID circumstances this year, but the contracts will still be worse financially.

I just can´t see a 31st pick, being interested in becoming a two way player, so that increases the chances the Mavs will trade the pick, stash the pick or just pick somebody so grateful that he gets drafted that he´s willing to sign a two-way. 

Or maybe they put JJB on a two-way and then make him the highest paid assistant next year. Is JJ even two - way eligible.

If you try imagining things from the angle of the Mavs not making both of their pics, as they almost never do, this will make a lot more sense.

Three-time NBA scoring champion James Harden's time with the Houston Rockets may be ending shortly based on numerous rumors, and ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, Zach Lowe and Adrian Wojnarowski dropped another note Sunday indicating that could be the case.

"Harden has been increasingly uneasy about the Rockets' ability to compete for an NBA title and has been considering the possibility of pushing to play elsewhere before his contract expires, sources said."

Harden is in the middle of a four-year, $171.1 million deal. He has two guaranteed years left on his deal and a player option for 2022-23, per Spotrac.

That seems like a metric ton for Oubre's expiring contract, the "privilege" of signing Danny Green, and future first which may not be lottery.

so, the deal with Tucker is that Harden talked him into signing there at below market value. You know, to “win.” Now that the team is in utter chaos he realizes that it was a bad decision and he is raising hell about his contract. The upside to moving Tucker could simply be removing him from your locker room.

Nope. It says as a player. Scott41 meltdown incoming. Just flushing a roster spot down the toilet, again. Eff Cuban. All of this in all seriousness. There might be worse things down the pike (hope not), but this is fairly awful. If we sign Green on top of this? Holy crap.

Please stop. The Rubio trolling has nothing on this. It's a shortened season with a cramped schedule. Objectively wasting roster spots is a way to play your players into injury, and be in trouble when they are injured.
