Next I expect articles about whether Hayward could be the Patriots starting QB with his smarts, accuracy and handsome looks. Plus should Grant replace Pogba at Manchester United, because he has better footwork, stamina and court/pitch vision.

Personally I am not that high on Bogdan (Sacramento guy is Bogdan, Utah guy is Bojan). He is a nice player, but I am not sure he brings enough to be a starting SG for a contender next to Luka and KP. He does bring some secondary playmaking and is a solid three point shooter. But he is nothing special defensively, at best. I think he would be better utilized as a 6th man. So, personally, I wouldn't pay him more than 12 per to consider him a positive contract.

Of course. Guys like Middleton, Wiggins and fan favorite Harris got max contracts. I think Luka is a bit better
Some interesting rumors from Hawks forum. I wonder if any of it is true. Certainly worth considering, if Boston is willing to add #14 for Curry and Kleber.
They've been offering one of their lower firsts for someone to take Hayward and have contacted no less than 6 teams. They are looking for a SG/SF, SF/PF that is a 3 and D type. I was told they'd move 14 or even more for the right lower priced player in return.

Very much in on Hayward + 14 for Curry + Maxi + (anything not 18).

Let me put on my Dan hat for a minute... I don't understand the logic of any trade that involves a 2020 draft pick and a guy who has to make a player option decision the next day. I know everyone's tampering, but boy does that look fishy. And, in any case other than Hayward, chancey.

He has to take decision before the trade. If he doesn't, there is no trade. But he is allowed to make it.

I love how Morey just acts like he will give you an offer you can't refuse. 6 billion 2nd round picks later, you have your man.

How many Draft picks would it take in order to acquire Harden plus having to take on Harris contract?

I'm assuming Simmons would be in any offer. Him and Harden both need the ball.

Continuing the Athletic piece assigning values to current FA's (leaving out Ingram and the minimum wage guys):
$17.0mm Hayward (Boston would benefit with an opt-out and extension of $75mm over 4 years)
$13.7mm DeRozan (Unlike Hayward, there isn't any conversation about opting out and extending
Mid Level Guys
$10.9mm Joe Harris (Could get more given how many teams are looking for a shooter)
$10.8mm Marcus Morris (Clippers go something above the MLE to retain)
$10.5mm Crowder (20 teams will chase with the MLE, but none will offer more...good as a 5th starter)
$9.3mm Justin Holiday (Good at 3's, good at D's, really low usage. Should get close to MLE on a 1 or 2 year deal)
Below MLE
$6.7mm Josh Jackson (Worth a shot at someone's Room MLE)
$5.6mm Kent Bazemore
$5.5mm Moe Harkless (Clearly a rotation-caliber player in the prime of his career. The "3" in his 3&D hasn't always held up)
My thoughts. Hayward is in high demand. The path to Dallas might be an extend and trade which is limited to 3 years including the $34mm year already on the books. I think that may look something like $34/$20/$20. Boston obviously has to play along and they may have better options than a THJ/Maxi based deal (all Boston trades start with Maxi IMHO).
Justin Holiday at some/all of the MLE would be a nice short term investment on a one year basis. I could see Bazemore or Harkless on a short term deal as well at less dollars tan Holiday. Hollinger's process is stat based, not market based and the market needs multi-position bench defenders. DFS suddenly look like an incredible bargain.

I wouldn't include THJ for Hayward, I don't think we really improve this way. Curry I am ok with, THJ not.

I'm actually quite the opposite. I'd much rather deal THJ/Wright than Curry/Maxi. 100% out on Hayward if we have to pay anything more than expirings, too much of a risk.

Simmons and Russillo talked about this last night. They didn't mention Dallas, but they both agreed it seems like Hayward wants out of Boston and is prepared to opt out. Simmons is worried about his Celtics losing him for nothing, since they'll never be under the cap enough to nab a difference maker again.

Since I feel Dallas doesn't have the assets, let's hope he goes East.

Jrue is great. But yeah, we don't really have anything great. Our picks are meh, we don't have any youngsters with high upside. Besides, do we really want to give up all our assets for one player? Is something like THJ+Maxi (or DFS) and #18, #31 and 2025 FRP really worth it? I would rather take a shot with someone who has low value due to a bad season, high contract or injury.
