I don't care if he can't play. Give me this guy to our roster.

Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson recently appeared on The Bill Simmons Podcast and Barnes revealed that a documentary about the 2006-07 Golden State Warriors—who eliminated the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in that year's postseason—is in the works.

"We're in the midst of getting a 'We Believe' documentary together," Barnes said, referencing the team's nickname (h/t Tommy Call III of Warriors Wire).

I'm happy someone else other than me thinks Dirk as their MJ. Smile

Clippers POV.  Assumes the Mavs get their series with the current format.

I cannot remember a team milk a single series win more than that team. Literally got mopped by the Jazz the next round and only beat us because Don Nelson was 12 steps ahead of Avery and knew every single way to counter Dirk.

Only reason I'm still salty is because scrubs like Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes always talk garbage about Dirk when the only time they ever won a chip was either being a washed up bench scrub or as a 4th/5th option.

(Can you tell I'm still bitter?)

I was at the game in that awful arena where they beat us and broke our 18 game winning streak. I only thought that was painful. Our team won 67 games that year and may have been our best, certainly most dominating team. To have those two (ahem, less than wonderful persons) beat us was really hard to take. That was one of at least 4 times we could easily have won the title. I also count the 87-88 Mavs. If they could have taken a game in LA, we would have had a very good shot to win it all. Yet losing to the showtime lakers, no caps on purpose, was far easier to take than losing those guys. We weren't the only team Nellie ever beat with great game strategy though.
This Reunion Rowdie says the AAC needs "Luka's Lunatics" for the Luka/KP and gang era.

So we should get a documentary about 2001 when we were down 0-2 in a best of 5 against a very seasoned veteran playoff team...We did put the final nail in the Malone Stockton dynasty that year...

Just saying... Cool

Making a documentary about getting out of the first round is pretty cringe even if you are the 8 seed.

I honestly don't think most of the GS fans will watch that documentary after what the recent GSW teams have done let alone NBA fans. Only people who care about that was the players who lived it. Good for you, you won nothing.

"The Mavs' title stands as one of the most unlikely—and impressive—of the modern era."

I'll go with impressive part.
