I don’t care if every injury is a freak one or explainable, let’s get rid of our training staff.

Yes. When you see a bunch of soft tissue injuries that's a training staff issue. Broken bones you can't help. Soft tissue you definitely can.

Christie. Don't get me wrong, Reeves is good. Just rather have Christie. High energy, great defense, good shooter, and his passing is decent.

Reeves doesn't match the culture Nico is trying to build in Dallas.

The defense was legendary in the first half. The second half Houston bullied them a bit. I am sure PJ being the whole half and AD missing some time helped, but give Houston credit. I was pretty suprised Houston's big lineup casued so much trouble. Adams is huge but isn't really effective. But they caused some trouble with Senguin getting going and getting several second chances.

Gafford, as always, played extremely hard. Just tough for him to be the only big and they were really trying to go at him on switches. I will be interested to see how Dallas counteracts that.

AD looked great. Hope he is ok. Kyrie seemed out of it for quite a bit but made some baskets late. Really surprised we won with such a low scoring game from him. It will be interesting to monitor. Teams are going to throw a lot of defenders at him.

The Christie experience continues to be nice. He won't hit 4 out of 5 threes most nights, but he just is a guy who limits mistakes.

Would never root for an injury to any player. But there is an element of… dang, are any of our German friends still around? What’s that big compound German word for taking pleasure in another’s misfortune? Scheherazade or something.

2 guys injured. Who knows how bad but some things about this season still have not changed. Two nice victories in a row though. This team has some quality wins!

Anthony Davis says he felt tightness in his “groin/quad area” and that it’s “not serious.”

Anthony Davis said he’s “very confident” that he did not suffer a significant setback in his recovery from the injury he sustained while still a Laker.

Anthony Davis on his injury: "My leg got tight, like a little spasm. I came back to try to get it loose while still dealing with the abdominal strain. But I managed to loosen it up, and it's nothing serious. I'm fine."

Where?: "Groin—quad kind of area. It's like right in there."

Reaves had a crazy game today, basically beating the Pacers on his own with 45-7-7.

Christie seems to be a really bright guy!

He’s going to be a fixture on this team from awhile.  Heady player who plays at both ends of the court. Can find his own shot and seems to be a decent passer, too.

Folks were looking for Knecht in the trade, but this guy’s the keeper….and actually 2 years younger than Knecht despite playing in his 3rd season.

Sounds like AD is saying his injury today is "nothing serious."

Hope we get to see a healthy PJ/AD/Lively front court one day.

Will likely have to wait until next year - but what we saw today suggests that it's something worth waiting for.

That's a great game. Dang. I'll still go with Christie though. Lakers have been really good the past few years at finding and developing tweener guards.

Reeves is 26 and Christie is 21. I'll take Max all day long. Reeves is still a good young player though.

Are there any whispers that Lively won‘t come back these year? I thought it’s more like a four to six week injury, but I could be wrong.

Yes, they have been one of the best in the league.  Even guys who are not there any longer.  Caruso.   Scottie Pippen Jr.,  Jay Huff.   I think there are a few others.    Have I mentioned before how much it bothers me the Mavs never take this part seriously.  At least they haven't most years.
