This is going to be the craziest game. Hot take: the Mavs are desperate from a PR perspective. I would ask Dirk to take center court before the game to introduce the new Mavs. No one will boo Dirk. Will he do it?

Rockets have stumbled as of late. They've lost 5 str8, and dropped to 5th in the West. Mavs need to keep that streak going.

I think it’s about a 50-50 chance that Nico attends the game.
On the one hand, he might want to give fans a chance to cool off.
On the other, he doesn’t seem like a guy who dodges accountability at all.

Ok that was a nice start for AD. An extremely nice start. My favorite part was watching anyone in a Maverick uniform finally stop Senguin and intimidated him. First impression: this team is going to be really different. We will see.

Being in Houston I don’t get League pass today I have to watch the Rockets local network. They did show protests outside and several signs in the arena. They showed several fans with black tape covering their Mavs gear. They mentioned the Mav fans perspective but I heard more about their own 5 game losing streak.
I watch this on DVR later.

It was a nice start. Just a hilarious declaration literally 5 minutes into seeing the entire team together (sans Lively and Hondo Havlicek Martin), but totally on brand for Harp. His entire broadcast career has been the equivalent of dribbling out the clock in a tied game.

Looking at the previous Laker deals to steal another teams superstar… they have never paid this much. Any other deal for AD we would be over the moon. I agree we didn’t get enough, but you could make the case you overpay to get an AD.
