The argument in favor of Love is this, to me: he’s more playable than Bertans. I’d expect his role to be similar to the one Bertans plays, possibly just a little more consistent, which is why now that he’s a free agent I wouldn’t expect the Mavs to get him. I’m guessing some other team who has NO shooting bigs (the Mavs have 3, technically) will promise him a larger role.

Oh man I would go as far to say that if Love was on this roster that Wood would basically slide in the Bertans role with what we've been seeing lately.

I'd go so far as to say Love is everything we want Bertans to be, with the added benefit of his playoff experience and hopefully former chemistry with Kyrie.
Love also can outlet pass and push in transition, which could work really well with Green.

I always thought Love would wind up here at the end of his career. The times I have seen him this year he has looked really old. Also not a good sign that a good team who has hopes for a playoff run thinks he is of no help for them down the stretch. Although maybe they are doing him a solid. But this is a results driven business.
With that being said, I would have some interest. Could he play well with Maxi? Unfortunately it sounds like we need to clone Maxi to get all our odd fitting parts to fit.

Maybe....but I think giving him the dribble/passing gene is important too.

Moses is back on the market boys.
Played 288 minutes in 34 games for the Clippers. McGee 293 minutes in 36 games.
No reason to bring him back but Brown would have been a lot cheaper.

Oooof.
Reading that really puts into perspective how bad the McGee signing has been thus far. The 2 games where he looked like a rotation player flashed what it could've been, but the dude just fell off a cliff.

Weird situation. Detroit has a surplus of bigs, Duran (Can't believe he's just 19), Stewart, Bagley, and now Wiseman.

Heat and Sixers are probably good fits for him. Miami has a good reputation of building players up and they have a good defensive center. Morey is always opportunistic and they also have a good defensive center. Both appear to be able to offer playing time.
Sort of surprised Cleveland would do a buyout only to see him go to two teams they are competing against. Even if Love may be close to the end, why leave that open to chance?

Well maybe there was no financial incentive for Noel to do it, because the Pistons wanted him to give up too much of his salary, or he could not secure a minimum promise to replace the forfeited sum. Thank to the Hot Dog years, he can´t afford to throw money out of the window like a Westbrook or Love can without blinking.

Yeah I was quite surprised they just let him walk like that, potentially to a team that may face them in the playoffs. I know Love fell out of their rotation due to his lack of defense. I think the fact that they'd let him walk to a team like MIA or PHI speaks to how poor of a defender they think Love is. They probably think he wouldn't even see the floor.
As to teams, I think MIA just makes the most sense. They are in desperate need for shooting. They have zero power forwards as well. Love just fits like a glove.
Also from a Mavs POV, when Love was bought out I was pretty hopeful the Mavs would get in the mix due to his ability to rebound and outlet pass. We definitely need to revamp the big man rotation, but after sitting on it the last couple of days I just think Love's defense would be a 1 step forward 2 steps back kind of move.
