I'm just trying to be positive.

I question how valid the a-s perception is, when the owner who trades for him is Jewish.

ESPN isn't too thrilled with it either for Dallas.

I'd guess they'd hope for a sign-and-trade with the Lakers.

If we punted on this MVP season i think Luka would’ve asked for a trade. We have more security with Luka now. Even if Kyrie is failure. I really do think WB and LAL 1sts is riskier

If Kyrie and his camp are smart, they can use the situation to do some much needed rehabilitation of his reputation.  And you have to hope it is genuine.
getting siakam without giving up wood would be great regardless of picks since they are going to be not-so-valuable late first rounders as long as we can keep our core and remain competent. siakam plays good D and solid offense while wood is an ideal piece at offensive end with some shot-blocking abilities. guys would complement each other well.

Cleveland seems to have made out alright, Boston too.
Trade doesn’t look as bad after seeing the other teams offers. Ours was right there in line with the others and probably pick protections was what pushed ours over the top

I don't think Cuban really gives a crap, truthfully.

THJ + Powell + Josh + Hardy + 2FRPs is the best the Mavs could put together without Wood and that's assuming you can work something out with the Knicks on '23.

My takeaway also. Surprising that Kyrie had that much trade value tbh. Going to be an interesting next few months, that’s for sure.

Nets have a Mavs legend too.

I'd actually go to the Clips and offer Wood for RoCo+Zubac.

Fixes a lot of the holes we have right now.

Can I have Reggie instead?

Fine, but that move would require like three picks, at least, and the Mavs can now only trade 1.

I feel like people don't really get how bad the draft capital situation is.

Only if you offer a 2027 FRP unprotected and multiple 2nds
(02-05-2023, 09:04 PM)F Gump Wrote: [ -> ]How about tweaking it to
Bojan, Burks, Stewart for THJ, Bertans, Hardy, 2027 1st?

Detroit ain't going for that. They already said if they don't get what they want or a deal doesn't blow them away, they'll keep all of them for next season.

1) Luka can ask, but he is under contract for four more seasons. He can pound sand and be patient as far as I am concerned. It is for his good. He should work on improving himself while the Mavs fix the talent issue (and coaching).

2) With that said, getting the LAL picks does NOT mean punting on this season necessarily. Those picks could be flipped for players this deadline.

3) I truly think this move is more likely to cause Luka to leave DAL than he was before. This is the single most risky thing I could possibly imagine the Mavs doing. They are playing Russian roulette with five bullets in the chamber.

He's catching DNPs with the Clippers right now.  He'd be the perfect sixth man for us.
My guys, it's going to be Crowder. That's the move that's coming. Cuban will pay too much.

BE PREPARED.
