Well, when I saw this thread, my first thought was "damn, I missed the first summer league game!"

...and then I actually read the thread.

With the small caveat that I remember Brunson looked awful in summer league and we shouldn’t take too much out of any of these games……that being said, Terry is not an NBA player. Goes without saying for the rest of the roster. Find me a relevant two way guy cause Hinton hive ain’t it. Love the towel waving though.

You know I don´t hate Omoruyi. He´s 0-5 from three, but 6-6 with six boards. Not everybody needs to shoot threes. I´d actually replace Hinton´s two way over him.

Can DSJ be the two way guy?

I still think Omoruyi has been unimpressive.  He just stands out because the rest of the team is atrocious.  I don't really see anything in Hinton either.  

It doesn't help that 50% of the offense seems to  be whoever dribbles over half court does a haphazard drive to the rim.

There you go Terry.  Launch those threes.  He should be launching 10 a game.

Is Zhaire Smith on any roster? Former 16th pick in 2018, who had some real bad luck with injuries and illness, but he´s still only 22. That´s a reclamation guy that should be on our SL roster given what our other options are.

I think that at THAT point, you go and make some money overseas. Maybe he just really wants to keep trying for the NBA, but those two-way contracts probably don't live up to his salary expectations, and it's not like he's about to be completely out of pro basketball.

Hinton is trash.  Someone remind him what color his jersey is before he passes the ball.  Jesus.

Yeah, that´s his last G-League team, but he´s a FA now. He´s not on the Grizzlies SL roster.

He can't possibly be any worse than what we are rolling out.

23% from 3. 23 tov. They have to make some changes. Bring in a capable big (Moses Brown?). Add a PG that can run the offense (DSJ, or even an old guy like Jarrett Jack, is JJB in Dallas?).

That´s what I am saying. Knowing how we operate there are most likely even players on our current SL roster that are older than him, despite him being drafted in 2018. We simply have to seek out such players for trials.

I see potential, but nothing more. 

If I remember right, Seth Curry also played in summer league, and I want to say he looked pretty good, he at least looked fringe ready. Terry doesn’t look fringe ready. Curry got his chance on a few 10 days and SHOWED ready, but still didn’t get a contract. It took him like half a decade to go from Duke to multi year NBA contract. But has turned out beautifully.

I only compare to Curry bc of the shooting. And shooting is so valuable. So probably another rookie season needed TBD.

All within a couple possessions from Terry. 

He has a long way to go but he’s clearly talented. The T-Rex arm-problem will be tough to overcome though. That + his so-so first step + the pretty basic handle is a bad combination. He needs to watch Seth Curry tape 24/7. That’s his role in the Nba. 

Not sure how, but he still somehow ended the game with 22 points.

He’s the most and only somewhat intrigueing player on this SL roster Imo.
