You don't make franchise altering trades based off hypotheticals. Btw he's averaged 30/10 more times than tearing his ACL, so one is likelier than the other if we want to put probabilities on it.
Really?

Porzingis had eight 30/10 games in his whole career. You need to define your terms of averages.

ACL 1
30/10 for a 10 game stretch 0

There are several problems:

1) Porzingis is playing badly. He doesn't look confident, he is taking bad shots and his body language isnt good
2) Luka at times has bad body language, he needs to mask his emotions which affects his teammates
3) The rookies are not being played enough even in blowouts

Carlisle Luka and Porzingis need to do better they need to get together and be more positive.

I was being facetious. Obviously we cannot seriously put probabilities on it.

I understand your mind about KP is made up and that the Mavs should dump him yesterday.

Respect to OP for asking for a personal over-reaction and labeling it as such. My personal over-reaction was to put some of the incessant irrational Nancies (who are that way just as much in the good times) on ignore. Feels so much better.

I know these players as a group suck right now. It's a team of Luka and the sucktards.

But I also know that times change, and player performance that can go down can also go up. Change of circumstances, change of surrounding cast, better practice or conditioning, all of these and more can help. One player playing better makes it easier on another, and then two lead to three, and so on, and away we go.

They'll win a game at some point. Then the monkey (or rather what's now a 500 pound gorilla) will no longer be on their back. And they'll learn what worked, and build on it. It may take time, it may suck for a while, and I may close my eyes and walk away when I can't stand watching Luka and the sucktards, but things change.

Hate to say it but it’s way worse than just poor 3P% for this team.

I’ve been away for a while but is anyone talking about what a disaster JRich has been? Eye test says he’s looked fine at times and I like what he’s giving defensively (though I liked Wright’s defense too) but he’s been as bad or worse than Wright on the other end.

JRich, DFS and Kleber are all starting defensive specialists who give next to nothing offensively outside of ball movement, (bad) spot up shooting and the occasional drive. The trouble is even the defensive specialists aren’t connected so team defense is abysmal.

This team can’t rebound either. Second to last in the league.

They don’t force turnovers.

They foul among the most in the league.

Luka is the only playmaker on the roster with Brunson probably the second best.

Oh and don’t look now but JRich has been a 26% 3PT shooter over his last 35 games going back to Philly. I used to think he was streaky shooter but it’s quickly turning into consistently bad.

When you're flirting with dead last, is it an overreaction to be quite alarmed? Cool

That´s the one that makes no sense at all. We lost Curry, Jackson and JJB. That cannot explain how we go from 4th to 28th in rebounding in one season. Curry is a partial explanation for our shooting woes, but not for going from 1st to outside top 20 either. Evertyhing points to something major going on behind the scenes.

With DSJ back in the news it reminds me how well the Mavs kept his issues under wraps. Could there be similar issues with this team, boiling just below the surface? The falloff is very strange but a few recent comments suggest there may be something there— a potential blockbuster for an enterprising reporter to suss out.

1. Doncic’s comments about needing to get back to enjoying the game to get back to his prior level. This may be nothing more than frustration with losing. Or 3’s not falling. But I’m a little concerned. He came in out of shape and although his stats look good his game just seems to be missing something. No joy.

2. JRich’s comments about the team lacking toughness, aggression and togetherness, then doing better with communication after the GSW win “listening to listen rather than listening to respond.” ie handling criticism.

3. KP going to the media about his minutes distribution; and his general attitude about the team’s struggles seems to lack some competitive fire. Lots of excuses coming from KP.

4. I don’t remember which game it was but I saw some really bad body language and verbal barking out of James Johnson about defensive mistakes. Carlisle called timeout and pulled him immediately. He’s seen limited minutes since ... and was DNP-injury last game.

I think this chronicles it pretty well. The new guys are more used to players having more defensive intensity than they're seeing, the old guys are not used to that and want to keep status quo? Part of the whole?

I’ve had a suspicion that something has been going on behind the scenes for a while now. It’s probably nothing but I just noticed that Luka and KP don’t follow Hardaway on Twitter. And he doesn’t follow either one of them. Like I said probably nothing but given everything that you listed above it makes me wonder.
