Coaching is ultimately a people management job as much as it is job responsible for drawing Xs and Os on a whiteboard. Managing people is difficult in any line of work, in the NBA you're managing the biggest egos walking the earth under extremely high pressure situations under global public scrutiny. And Phil Jackson successfully managed the biggest egos on the biggest stages in the most high pressure situations.
It's also why I'm consistently worried about players under Carlisle. He isn't the easiest to get along with, and his irritable personality already cost him a job in Detroit and Indiana didn't want to keep him around for a rebuild.
I hope his personality can mesh well with both Luka and Kristaps
