They haven't clicked since Walton benched him. As soon as it became clear that Walton was back next year I assumed Hield would be shipped out, and the fact that they hired an analytics GM seems on track with that, too.
I still don't think the Mavs will want to take on money past 2021, but for the record, if they DID decide to turn the page, I think Hield is an improvement over THJ, INCLUDING the areas in which THJ already is valuable.
That´s a deal easy to get on board with.

I agree. From Sacramento perspective - Hield for THJ makes a lot of sense. Hield for Horford makes zero sense. Hield and Barnes for Horford and Richardson makes a bit more sense. Clean up most of Vlade crap with one move for the price of two years of Horford.
On paper Horford makes a lot of sense. They don´t have a guaranteed starting center and more importantly they don´t have a proven winner and veteran leader. Sacramento is one of the few teams, where Horford actually does make sense, despite his age and contract.
