I agree. From Sacramento perspective - Hield for THJ makes a lot of sense. Hield for Horford makes zero sense. Hield and Barnes for Horford and Richardson makes a bit more sense. Clean up most of Vlade crap with one move for the price of two years of Horford.
From Dallas perspective. Hield is a better shooter. BUT:
- THJ is a proven locker room fit, Hield is a liability
- THJ enables 2021 flexibility, Hield basically kills it
- Hield doesn't improve defense
So, if I am Mavs, I only do this if Sacramento adds a sweetener like pick swap or similar. Otherwise there is too much risk for marginal improvement.
