Why lie to the NBA if it was a perfectly normal thing to do?
The NBA considers that situation to be of higher risk, (their rules not mine) so they can assess how long the quarantine should last. Lou needed to be honest with them.
Also if not, this was made a big deal because of his friend tweeting out the pic, then lying about the timing of the incident. The NBA called him to basically ask if his friend was lying, he confirmed his friend was lying, and that’s that.
They for sure should take a bit extra care when allowing him back in, but big and dire consequences? Nah, this is mostly a non-story blown up by a friend lying to try to cover for Lou. Other than that, the amount of testing and precautions going on in the bubble makes it safe enough from him blowing the whole thing up.
