It will make us crazy but I am ab 90% sure when KP is back he is taking all of JJ + WCS' minutes and then some of Powell and Kleber (who isn't playing well?) as well. If you look at tonight's box score, JJ + WCS had 23 minutes combined so KP is going to take some from Maxi/Powell as well to get to at least 30 minutes.

Rick loves Powell so he is not taking too many of his minutes. I think JJ and WCS are just passing through this year even though I like both of those players. KP will sit on B2B and guys will get injured so they will still get some PT throughout a long season. When everyone is healthy tho I think JJ and WCS are going to be DNP just like the rooks.

I see the starting unit being Luka, Rich, THJ, DFS, KP with the 2nd unit being Burke, Brunson, Maxi, Powell + maybe some JJ when Rick goes 10 deep in the rotation. Rich, THJ, DFS all have position flex so you are seeing the Mavs getting through games without another bench SF taking up minutes. We had thought Green would get maybe 10 minutes but that hasn't happened so far.

Almost as good as Mavsluvr recap. A couple of interesting stats - Mavs are hiting just 36 % of wide open shots (defender not within 6 feet). Luka had 58 potential assists in first four games and only 25 credited.

My lord.

Can't win many NBA games with that kind of shooting.

I think we can look at this positively. Shooting has to improve at some point. It is important Mavs are getting open shots. Mavs as a team are actually shooting three pointers 5 percentage points worse than last year. Second worse decline in the league only behind Pelicans, where that decline is more expected due to their offseason acquisitions.

I agree that this is the silver lining to this extremely negative thing, but the thing is still extremely negative.
