JRich for me. Great stuff from him. He's a better player than I realized before we got him.

This one has to be Luka in my mind. He played the game we needed him to play in order to secure lots of wins this season. JRich gets a VERY honorable mention. Loved his game today!

Team effort. Great energy at the start of the game. We could see what it means if you are playing without one of your stars. Plenty of good games ahead of us. On to the next one, no excuses against Charlotte.

In games when everyone dominates, I feel compelled to go with Luka, who is the driving force of the entire team.

No wrong answers on this one, however.

I am very happy about the game, but just out of curiosity. What was so different compared to the Lakers game? He basically had the same stat line, throw away another 5 three pointers which put him at 1-16 for the season.

I think the major difference was that Mavs really wanted this one as a team and the Clippers without Kawhi are just several levels worse than Lakers. The notable difference was rest of the team. While Luka had one of the best percentages in first two games he had the worst one in this one. Others were better.

Voted WCS. His first impactful game of the season. He was really good.

Cow voting for WCS? Is this real?

It took him 34 mins to amass the stats he got in the LaL game as opposed to 25 mins in this one. 9 Rebs in 25 mins is quite a bit better, it shows the effort he put in. Better A/TO ratio too. I was gonna say in my earlier post that I wasn't terribly happy with the start of the 3rd for Luka and JRich and their shot selection, but other than that, they were both on fire!

It's foolish to think I'd want any Mav to play poorly.

I think this one is more a consequence of Clippers bricking 90 % of their shots (open or not) while Lakers were hitting 50 %+. Look at the boxscore. Luka is very very similar while basically all the rest were considerably better today than against Lakers.

I don't want to downplay Luka performance tonight, I voted for him. I am saying he wasn't as bad against Lakers as it was presented on this board.

Voted for Luka (slightly annoyed he didn't get the triple double, but at least he was reasonably close for the first time this year), largely because he looked focused and as if he were in shape (hopefully means he's getting there), with a strong honorable mention for JRich (we have a third starter, boys and girls) and for WCS with his team-leading +31.

Luka led the team and nearly had a triple double in less than 25 minutes. So I gotta give it to him.

Josh Richardson is a very close 1B

This was a good team effort...something we didn't see in the first two games.  I gave the Dirkie to Luka simply because it was the first game he has looked like Luka, but Josh Richardson was a very close second.
