I'm not sure how to feel about the Mavs supposed interest in Oubre. He is a pretty solid defender, but his 3pt shot disappeared with the Warriors. His form isn't broken like Richardson's so perhaps there's still some hope. Bringing him in does nothing to address the playmaking deficiency, so I imagine they would want to pair him with a Conley/Lowry/DeRozan.
Maybe if you're lucky you can squeeze Oubre+Conley into cap space. Add Theis with the rMLE, and maybe trade Burke+Terry for some vet backup wing like Ennis.

Conley / Green
Oubre / Ennis
DFS / Kleber
Porzingis / Theis
Wouldn't be the worst outcome in the world. That team is much better defensively and shouldn't be quite as Luka dependent. If Oubre can re-find his shot they might even be dangerous in the playoffs.
