I think Derozan is better than Conley, but Conley is the easier fit. In addition, I think there is a chance you can interest Utah in a sign and trade. Would they have interest in Richardson plus Maxi? Those would be two good rotation players for them (If Richardson improves from this past season). If that is the case, then you would have money to resign Hardaway. Or do you let Hardaway go and sign Holmes plus Josh Hart (or another wing player)? I am still leading towards Derozan, but my opinion could change. If Derozan is at 30Plus million, that may be too tough for me to swallow.
I need to think more if Holmes can play with KP, or will teams just put their PF on KP like we saw in the playoffs and attack whoever guards a wing? I am intrigued with using both as ATL uses Capela and Collins, but need to think more about it.
Its an easy call for me because I think Conley is a better player than DeRozan. DeRozan is probably better with the ball in his hands, but Conley is so much better off ball and defensively, which is where they would spend most of their time with Luka. My biggest concern with Conley is durability. Honestly all three are older than I would like, which is why Ball is probably my first choice due to timeline.
