Actually I will say it is the opposite, now more than ever we need to take those prospects more seriously.
Soon enough Luka will be taking huge chunk of our salary cap, and those we have developed as bargain deals (DFS & Maxi) will be getting bigger deals and will be older too.
We need to develop those young players who will have a role as bargains somewhere, they make things easier.
Look at Barea for example, undrafted at the age of 22, came when Dirk was 28 and just made the finals (and not 1st round exit) and 5 years later (2 of which he barely played) and he was one of the most important bench players (and starter) in our championship run.
That being said, if at least 3 of our rookies are back next season, then I agree.
