Basically he's a 40% shooter overall everywhere because he shoots a tooooooon of 3s.
Also remember that a big part of the problem we are trying to solve is a playmaker that can run the offense when Luka sits. Yes Luka does need shooters but he also needs to be able to rest for 5 minutes and not be down 10 points when he check backs in. Smart is an underrated passer imo. Mavs did not have that. J Rich is a total mess and not comparable to Smart. Brunson is a scorer not a passer. Smart would also bring some intangibles that you can't put a price on. Do you think a Mavs team that has Smart on it is going to be soft? Not happening.
