Lavine will be looking to leave to go win and he's got the same agent as Luka.
But for me it's those very reasons I'm not so quick to dismiss the chance of acquiring Lavine THIS offseason. Yes, if he still had 2+ years on his deal, the Bulls would be in more of a position to dictate terms and timelines. But the fact that he only has a year remaining on a deal with a team who, even with cap space, doesn't scream "contender", I think it's possible. Especially with a common agent who wants to make his uber superstar client, Luka, happy.
If back channels motivate this deal, I think Brunson, Kleiber and Richardson for Lavine gets it done.
