I think Cubes is bias’d on the capspace issue, given that he was tortured by it throughout Dirk’s prime years and those were also Cuban’s most formative years as an NBA owner.
But I also don’t think we’ve had enough opportunity to really know whether players will want to join Doncic. I think after his rookie season the vet’s still hadn’t accepted him into their egosphere. And last year we played our hand to wait and see what happened with Giannis. Now that the Giannis dream is gone I’m really curious what they do next.
