I think you missed something important. Not possible to build something like this in one offseason. More about the perfect blue print for a Luka lead roster under the current cap rules. Two high volume/efficiency 3-point shooters (combine for 40m). In a perfect world both can defend or have some playmaking ability. One max player that can run the offense as the main ballhandler, can play the two-man game with Luka, can defend. Cheap defensive minded big that can set screens and do the dirty work.
 
40m for two wings + 70m for two max guys (Luka + x) + cheap big. Exceptions, rookie contracts and vet mins to fill out the bench.

I picked Simmons because I really like his fit next to Luka. Also because some 76ers fans and according to the rumors also some guys in the front office aren´t happy with him. They want a real PG with better half court creation. The 76ers are building around Embiid and even though they had more success it´s still a questionable fit. When Embiid is getting the ball in the paint (that´s what they are trying to do) Simmons has no role on offense. I think Simmons leaving Philly in a trade for a PG (Lillard?) is one of the more likely scenarios. Maybe not this year but within the next 2-3 years.
Mavs obviously lack assets right now but after the draft they could offer a decent package of picks, pick swaps and the more valuable role players (Brunson, DFS, Kleber).

How realistic with cap room is it that we get Simmons (not to mention how are we getting DR realistically in the near future also). Also, any starting team with Luka that includes the word “perfect” does not have THJ in it. I’m out and about right now, but When I get home I’ll come up with a much more realistic and “perfect” Luka lead team.
