Mavs certainly aren't going to out-maneuver Heat for Lowry. I also don't think it's impossible that the Raptors resign Lowry.
I'd love Lowry but Bill Simmons basically did a breakdown of old point guards and how many of them last till 35. Spoiler: not that many. And those that do last that long AND maintain their level of play are unicorns. Take for example Cp3. What he's doing is almost unheard of. We'd be banking on Lowry having that similar trajectory and I don't know if I want to risk close to 50 mil on that.
Would much rather go after Dragic who'd be cheaper and fill out that vet role nicely.
