I really like the KP to New Orleans idea.

I agree KP makes a lot of sense for them. I am also playing for a while with an idea of Sacramento. They are a franchise absolutely depserate for a positive story. They just have to make playoffs. Fox already signed an extension and the clock started to tick. Haliburton might be a nice player but he is not ready to be a star yet. So KP becomes that budding star to Fox. 

The prize I would want back would be Haliburton and a 2021 FRP. The problem is what else as they have to send salaries out to make it work. I don't want Barnes and I don't think Luka-Hield backcourt would work for same reasons Luka-THJ doesn't. He is just not good enough defensively. If he would accept a 6th man role, he would be great, but he made it clear he wants to start. Holmes SnT would be great, but can't be done on draft night. And we can sign him anyway if he wants to come as he is UFA. Bagley would make it work but I am not enthusiastic. But for lack of better ideas I will stay with this. After the move Mavs have a lottery level pick and around 45 mil of cap space. I would lock my PG/SG rotation with Luka, Haliburton, Brunson and Green. Draft best available player on positions SF, PF or C. Sign three legit starters with the cap space. Taking care of starting center and especially wings. Might be enough for all of Holmes, OPJ, Olynik, Theiss.

Holmes, Theis, +Bagley (would flip him to a rebuilding team for a more established player) + Sac pick somewhere on positions 3-5
