If J Rich can't help us on a night when the team is playing garbage defense then I don't see the point of bringing him back next year.
Overall, reminded of when 3 years ago we were paying Wesley Matthews 17mil a year to play defense and take terribly timed, desperation shots. Richardson, at 11mil, has gone without a training camp, recovered from COVID and is still often times required to guard one of other teams best players while giving more offensively than Matthews did. I’m excited to see what he looks like in the playoffs, I’d still like to see him here next year, maybe an off-season working on his 3pt shot with the team would do him wonders.
