Not true at all. Certainly the Mavs won't think that way. Jazz have very high salary rolls. 11 players making 134 million. Luxury tax is at 136 so I would think just filling out the roster with vet mins and/or rookies already gets you into luxury tax mode without Conley. I don't know what the appetite is for the Jazz to get into Warriors-esque Luxury tax levels. To me Conley is definitely a guy that could be available.

Of course it’s true. He fed us the „he respects Carlisle so much he might actually sign with the Mavs“-crap via ESPN when he needed leverage before re-signing with MEM. He didn’t want to come when he had the chance in UFA. Screw him the same way Kemba can screw himself waiting for Ainge to dump his butt on a rebuilding team.

Paying Brunson and extending his role is the way to go if we’re thinking about short guards. JB is the future.
